WHY JOIN OWIT-HR?
The Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) strives to create and offer programs and opportunities that aid in the professional development of women and men in all sectors of international business. The Hampton Roads Chapter plays an essential role in developing professionals and highlighting their achievements. By joining OWIT-HR you can:
- Participate in a forum for women and men around the world to learn about the economic, legal, social and technological issues related to international trade.
- Volunteer to work on specific areas of interest in international trade and business.

WILL JOINING OWIT-HR DEMAND A LOT OF MY TIME?
We are a purely volunteer-based organization. Therefore, the strength of our organization and programs depend on the professionals and students that are committed to our mission. OWIT-HR members agree that active organizational participation is significant to professional and personal growth.
You may volunteer to serve on a committee that meets your interests, to speak at a Brownbag Luncheon on a relevant trade topic, or offer a tour of your organization’s operations. These activities will help you get to know other OWIT-HR members and better understand the work of our organization.
HOW TO JOIN OWIT-HR
Joining our organization is easy. Simply complete the application form and submit your dues payment as instructed below. If you have questions regarding membership, please contact Membership Chair, Ms.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP ($50 annually)
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP ($45 annually for each employee sponsored)
STUDENT MEMBERSHIP ($10 annually)
(Dues will be assessed beginning January 1 of each year)
Professionals within the same organization can join at our Corporate Membership level and enjoy a discount off Individual Membership dues levels. If your organization seeks to work in partnership with OWIT-HR, we also offer Corporate Sponsorship opportunities.
